how is this funny to anyone.

Those people obviously don’t realize the extremely high kill rate for cats at shelters, not to mention that people literally dump indoor cats outside when they don’t want them anymore, and indoor cats often die due to starvation/predators (duh they have no survival skills).

Also - I might also be crying.

Jackson Galaxy is awesome. His story is is that he used to be a drug addict, and that while he was in the beginning of his recovery he saved a stray cat and nursed it back to life, and in return the cat essentially did the same for him, and ever since then, he’s taught himself everything there is to know about cats and their behavior. Cats saved his life, so he’s saving cats lives. He’s awesome.

Ladies,

Don’t jump down women’s throats when they say they aren’t a feminist. Chances are they’ve been made to believe somewhere along the line that feminism is this ugly “women rule the world, push men into subjugation” thing when it is not.

We live in a world that desperately needs feminism and part of the reason we need it is because we’re made to believe that we don’t. Things like the wage gap and abuse statistics aren’t openly discussed. Sexist ideas are so ingrained into our society that often even women don’t realise what they’re doing when they blame a rape victim for drinking too much or wearing too little or flirting or being alone at night.

So be gentle to women who think they aren’t a feminist Don’t shove facts down their throats or be condescending. Give them time. Treat them with the respect they deserve. They’ll more than likely come around.

Cos I was one of those girls. I didn’t get it. And now I wish I could go back and apologise to my legal studies teacher cos she must have found me so frustrating. But I eventually took on what she told me and I owe her so much for that.

  • cat: meows from the other side of the house
  • me: WHAT
  • cat: continues to meow
  • me: IM IN THE LIVING ROOM

God I love this moment.

Because this? This is what men do. Even today, they don’t see women; they see some version of her that speaks to their own masculinity. That part of a girl that makes them feel strong and powerful and righteous in one way or another.

None of them bothered to see who Peggy Carter really is because none of them cared. All they cared about is how she made them look to the outside world, how their actions towards her made them feel about themselves. The Father, The Knight, The Nice Guy.

And here my girl is, calling them all out on it. Here she is saying, if you actually saw me as a person, you would’ve seen what I was doing. You would’ve known. Don’t blame me for not being able to see past your ego.

Peggy Carter has never and will never put up with this misogynistic bullshit and I am HERE for it.

This scene is iconic.
